1940s Dodge lorries
Civilian and civvy-based Dodges from the 1940s are thin on the ground in the UK at least, so this page is for any '40s Dodge lorry that doesn't fit with any other section on this site.
If you have a Dodge in the UK, and are looking for parts to
aid its restoration, by all means send in some info and a few pictures, and I'll feature it on the relevant page (or create a new page for it!)
and you can post your rebuild 'parts wanted' list for all to see.

=====================================================
1942 Type 102 Fire Appliance ex Westmorland Fire Brigade
UK built Now owned by Paul Brook
GXO 480 was originally a AFS Heavy Pump Unit on a standard 5 ton truck.
Converted in about 1947 to a limousine-type water tender by Atkinsons of
Kendal. Fitted with a demountable pump (probably a Godiva) as well as
PTO driven first aid pump and hosereel. Retired from service in the
early 1970s and has been in my family since. Severe wood rot has
ensured that the body is now totally shot but I intend restoring it, I
am however constrained by a few panels as patterns and a small handful
of photos. The chassis and mechanicals are however excellent - it has
only done 11000 miles from new!
It was a regular rally attendee in the
1970s and early 80s so there must be lots of images and other
information out there! All information and help gratefully received.
Email Paul if you can help with pictures, parts etc!
(remember to remove NOSPAMWEREBRITISH from the email address!)
