Pre-war Dodge Lorries and trucks
Pre-war Dodge trucks, whether built in Canada (Fargo), the UK (at Kew) or original US build lorries from Detroit, are rare
in the UK, with most survivors being of a military background.
This page on old-dodge-trucks will contain information on any pre-war Dodges that gets sent in, but only those built prior
to WW2 (which began in 1939, and not the early 40s as a few US websites seem to suggest!). If you have a Dodge, and are looking for parts to
aid its restoration (aren't we all???) by all means send in some info and a few pictures, and I'll feature it on the relevant page (or create a new page for it!)
and you can post your rebuild 'parts wanted' list for all to see.

1936 Dodge LCX Light van
Steve Webber

Steve sent in the following email accompanying these great photographs:
"My name is Steve Webber and having stumbled across your site while looking for something else, thought I would forward details as below.
Vehicle is a model LCX Light van.
Built in 1936 at Kew, has canvas sided van body and was used by market gardener / fruit & veg trader around the Richmond area.
Vehicle was restored by previous owner during the early 1970's and rallied up to around 1985. Since then has been left standing and has frozen splitting the block.
Engine is 'flat head' six side valve (capacity unknown) and any contacts to locate replacement or components to rebuild would be greatly appreciated.
I understand the vehicle to be fairly rare and am keen to restore once engine sorted.
Regards,
Steve Webber"

If you can help Steve, please let me know via the contact page and I'll forward your details/info to Steve.

1938 Fargo 15cwt (New Zealand)
Steve & Cazna from New Zealand

The truck has been converted by a previous owner to a XC Ford Falcon motor and auto transmission. We use the Fargo as an everyday work vehicle for our classic car restoration business, and to commute to the occasional car show, vintage car run and rock'n'roll hop.
